ABOUT ME
Hey there! I’m Maralin, and this is my journey.
I’ve been singing since I was four years old — there's even a recording of me enthusiastically singing the Heidi theme song back then. Over the years, music has become my language, my escape, and my way of connecting to both myself and others. But it wasn’t until I was 15 that I started writing my own songs. It wasn’t just about covering other people’s songs anymore — I wanted to create something that was uniquely mine, something that speaks out of me.
Throughout my journey, I’ve been shaped by a number of important musical experiences. I completed my high school education at BORG Linz, where I graduated in music and vocal studies and found my first musical identity. Through vocal lessons, ensemble work, and writing my own songs, I began to realise how deep my connection with music was. I even had the chance to perform my original songs at concerts at the Posthof Linz.
But my musical journey started long before that. At a young age, I participated in several competitions — including the Kiddy Contest in Austria, where I had the opportunity to showcase my passion for music on national TV.
My music has evolved over the years, drawing influences from genres like pop, RnB, indie and disco and from artists like Jorja Smith, Billie Eilish and Olivia Dean. I love creating songs that offer both rhythm and reflection — tracks that make you want to dance but also speak to the soul, capturing the emotional complexity of everyday life.
My lyrics often explore themes like love, heartache, anxiety, and anger — those deeply human emotions that we all experience. I want to create a space where listeners can hear their own feelings reflected back at them. It’s a way for us to heal together, to feel less alone in our struggles and more alive in our joys.
